The essay should model an academic journal article. Individual appointments with the instructor will help shape your subject of study, intersecting themes, and research/source material. This project combines the best of interdisciplinary learning, original research, and intellectual depth. It will culminate in a final paper and presentation which will serve as the course final exam. Your project should be based on primary or direct sources, either historic or current. Your paper length requirement is 8-10 pages, double spaced, 12 pt. font, with Chicago Style citation.
