Description
This lithograph was used to advertise the Tennessee Centennial Exposition and was promoted by the Exposition's Executive Committee and used as postcards, flyers, and advertisements. The image depicts a rendering of the fair's neoclassical architecture modeled after Chicago's White City in 1893. This advertisement became both a symbol and ideal for Nashville as a New South City as a cultural and intellectual center in the region and nation.
