The Metropolitan Historical Commission Foundation is an organization focused on history based on place, education, community outreach, and modernizing the ways in which the public can navigate local history in a mobile and interactive world. It is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit friends group which assists the MHC in its efforts to identify, protect, study and interpret the rich history of Nashville. Sunnyside Mansion, home of the Metro Historical Commission, is located in Sevier Park in the 12th South neighborhood.
